Building Relationships and Supporting Projects

Joe Noble, PE, is making some big changes in his seventh year with AE2S, but his commitment to South Dakota is as strong as ever. Formerly the Rapid City and Spearfish Operations Manager, Joe is now the South Dakota Client Program Leader. In his new role, Joe will continue to build client relationships and support projects in the Mount Rushmore State.

Joe’s technical expertise spans water distribution and sanitary sewer design, lift and booster stations, funding development, South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources processes, and civil site design.

“Joe brings more than 20 years of experience to this position. Since joining the firm in 2019, he has been instrumental in strengthening existing partnerships and creating new relationships, as well as delivering a wide range of successful projects across the State,” says Mike Bibow, AE2S Operations Director.

Relationships are Key

“As the South Dakota Client Program Leader, I will be focused on client satisfaction and ensuring the AE2S team is doing the best we can to provide extreme client service in South Dakota,” says Joe. “I know our clients value face-to-face communications, and I do too. I will be traveling around the State regularly. I also plan to come back to the Rapid City area on a regular basis to meet with clients.” One of those clients is Hill City, which has components of a large drinking water improvements project preparing to bid this summer.  “I love the relationships I’ve developed with clients and coworkers. I’m looking forward to continuing to help our clients accomplish their goals and making connections across the State,” he says.

Making a Move

In addition to the role change, Joe and his family will move to the eastern side of South Dakota to be closer to family. It’s one of the smallest moves he’s experienced in his life. Joe, his wife, and two kids moved from Colorado to South Dakota when he initially joined AE2S as a Project Manager. As a retired Air Force member who grew up in a military family, Joe moved around a lot, living in seven different states before he went to college. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

All of Joe’s moves, education, experience, and relationship-building have brought him to a new point in his career that he is excited to share with current and new AE2S clients. “I’m excited for this new chapter at AE2S and the higher level of client service I will help our team provide,” says Joe.
